Portfolio recovery for banks

A bank does not hire a collections firm so someone will call its debtors. It hires one to move a metric, support a provisioning policy and do it without creating a single reputational or compliance risk. We have worked for financial institutions for more than twenty years. Our clients include Banco Pichincha, Banco Bolivariano and Banco del Austro.

01 / What a bank needs

Four requirements that are non-negotiable

None of them has to do with how many calls are made per month.

  • Accountability for compliance risk

Outsourcing collections does not outsource reputational responsibility: the complaint lands on the institution, not the provider.

  • Integration with your systems

Our platform connects via API with ERP, CRM and payment gateways, usually within a few days.

  • Reporting on performance, not activity

Effective recovery, DSO, promises kept and cost per recovery. A report of “actions taken” measures the provider’s effort.

  • Seamless escalation

When the amicable route is exhausted, the same provider continues with legal action, with the case file already built.

02 / A model for each bucket

A bank’s portfolio is not a single block

Each delinquency bucket requires a different intensity, channel and collection cost. Treating them all the same wastes resources on some and burns the relationship with others.

We segment by risk and propensity to pay, and omnichannel orchestration determines the best channel, message and timing for each debtor.

In high-balance portfolios, the most expensive profile is not the insolvent debtor: it is the opaque one. For those cases we apply forensic investigation and asset tracing, which locates assets, financial flows and corporate structures before the debtor’s estate is emptied.

Where each bucket begins and ends is defined by each institution’s risk policy. We do not impose our own aging table.

03 / Engagement models

Three ways to get started

None requires handing over the full portfolio on day one.

Full scope

Full or partial outsourcing

Dedicated legal teams, in-house or external, coordinated with your risk and finance departments. The team does not share your portfolio with twenty other clients.

Limited scope

Bucket-based management

A specific delinquency range, a region or a product. It is the most common way to start: you hand over the bucket your in-house team can no longer move.

Before deciding

Audit and assessment

An independent evaluation of real collectability before defining the scope. It keeps you from outsourcing a portfolio that would not have performed with anyone.

04 / FAQ

What we're always asked

Ask another question ↗
01In which countries can you operate?

Ecuador, Colombia and Peru, with our own offices in Quito, Guayaquil, Bogotá and Lima.

02How long does implementation take?

We can start working from portfolio files immediately. API integration with your systems usually takes just a few days.

03How is the bank’s customer information handled?

Under the personal data protection laws applicable in each country, with defined protocols for access, use and custody, documented in the contract before a single record is received.

04Do you work with written-off portfolios?

Yes, and that is often where the most value appears, precisely because the institution has already given it up as lost.

05 / CredentialsRankings and certifications

Trust and recognition across the region.

International rankings and certifications audited by independent third parties back every action we take on your portfolio.
